During an evening session with our astronomers you will experience the night sky like never before. From our rural location in New Zealand you will get a clear view of the stars, planets and galaxies above us. You will be able to see all these through a powerful Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope.

Come along and see our newly acquired 14" reflecting telescope in the new dome.

Cash Payment must be made prior to the tour starting. Credit cards or Efpos can only be accepted for payment at the I-Centre in Dargaville or at the local Motor Camp.

Occultation Program

Thanks to the Whangarei division of Zonta Club International, I received an award of funds which I have used towards occultation equipment. The observatory will be open to record occultations through a specialized CCD camera and simultaneously visible via the TV screen. Keen observers are encouraged to come along and get involved in the practical science program at the observatory. Cost is limited to a cover entrance charge. Please let me know if you would like to receive details of the Occultation program dates and times.

Have a telescope but want to see more - private tuition available.
