Baylys Beach SOLAR SYSTEM WALK

There are very few Solar System activities that let you experience the size and scale simultaneously.
Download our charts (below) and take a walk from the SUN (scaled down to the size of the Skydome Observatory). Stop for a cuppa at MERCURY (next door at the Funky Fish but in reality the size of a bead). If you like, borrow our resource cards to read along your walk or our object collection (basketball, golfball, seed etc) to use with the chart.

The total walk (one way) to NEPTUNE is 2.7km, but serious walkers/joggers might like to go as far as PLUTO - a large rock formation.

For those with really small children of limited mobility, SATURN is about 100 metres from the beach entrance.
