The Maori Star Compass - Designed by Cruise Selkirk (year 12) and Ebony Tierney (Year 10). These students contributed winning designs which were merged together to form the Maori compass which marks the floor of the observatory. | |||

The compass was painted by Year 12 and 13 NCEA Excelence level Art Students. These included Nicky Purdon, Denise Robertson (Year 12) and Ellen Rhodes and Emma Foy (Year 13). | |||
